The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB)has designated WLRN Public Radio & Television as the American Graduate public media station for Miami-Dade. This is a national initiative to help local communities find solutions to address the dropout crisis in the United States.
On Tuesday, January 10, 2012, WLRN is hosting a forum for community stakeholders from Miami- Dade's education, business and civic arenas with event keynote speaker Miami-Dade Schools Superintendent Alberto Carvalho, and facilitator and also guest speaker CAB Member Marcus Christian.

On January 10th, around 200 students will arrive for six and nine months stays. As part of their orientation and welcome, we provide a student handbook with important information about the school and the city of Miami Beach.
