Mission Statement:
The Global Business Access Council (GBAC) is a select group of professionals charged with creating partnerships in international commerce. Council members represent a cross section of industries focusing on attracting and creating international business opportunities for members of the Chamber. The mission of the GBAC is to assist businesses in their efforts to expand globally, work to promote, encourage and generate relationships through strategic introductions, and reinforce the value of the Chamber membership. In this way, the GBAC facilitates the creation of quality jobs for each and every resident of Miami-Dade County. Securing the City of Miami Beach as an international gateway.
The success of our mission to Beijing and Shanghai in 2006-2007 resulted in the launch of this global business access network. The goal is to enhance our international relations through business, education and cultural exchange.
Mid-March 2009 Miami Beach Mayor Matti Hererra Bower along with representatives from the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce and the City of Miami Beach traveled to Fujisawa, Japan for the continued celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Sister City Program. The Miami Beach delegates was in Fujisawa for five days and visited government offices, shrines, attend ceremonies and the capital Tokyo.
In October 2010, President & CEO, Jerry Libbin, and 25 representatives from the City of Miami Beach visited Shanghai, China to continue the mission of enhancing our international relations. The Miami Beach delegation meet with leaders from different countries at the World Expo, visited the Shanghai Museum and other cultural spots, met with the Editor-in-chief of Travel and Leisure Shanghai, travelled to see and meet with the Director of the Shanghai Port, and much more. The trip was a 7 day trip and was led by the Shanghai People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.

La misión del Consejo De Acceso Empresarial Global es ayudar a las empresas en sus esfuerzos por expandirse a nivel mundial, trabajar para promoverse, fomentar y generar las relaciones a través de introducciones estrategicas y reforzar el valor de los miembros de la cámara. De esta manera, el Consejo de Acceso Empresarial Global facilita la creación de empleos de calidad para cada residente del Condado de Miami-Dade, protegiendo la ciudad de Miami Beach como una puerta de enlace al mundo.
