Sustainable Living Council
Mission Statement
The Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce Sustainable Living Committee will actively work to improve our community’s quality of life by promoting actions that protect our environment, while promoting energy independence, greater utilization of cost-efficient and energy-efficient technologies, and sustainable long-term growth. We envision an environmentally responsible, healthy and prosperous community that embraces sustainable tenets in all aspects of our lives.

Grants and Scholarships Committee
The purpose of this committee is to give back to our community;
to award those non-profit organizations that dedicate time and effort
to others; to encourage the students of Miami Beach to further and continue
their education to become the future leaders of our community.

Miami Beach Education Foundation
The purpose of the MB Education Foundation is to bring together the strengths
and resources of the community to support the needs of public education
in Miami Beach. To stimulate greater governmental and public awareness
and appreciation of the importance of public education in Miami Beach;
to encourage greater and more efficient use of governmental and private
resources for the development and support of public education in Miami
Beach; to encourage and support public education in Miami Beach; to create
and support educational opportunities for residents of Miami Beach. The
Miami Beach Chamber Education Foundation is a 501C3.
Global Business Access Council
The success of our mission to Beijing and Shanghai in 2006-2007 resulted
in the launch of this global business access network. The goal is to enhance
our international relations through business, education and cultural exchange.

Mid-March 2009 Miami Beach Mayor Matti Hererra Bower along with representatives
from the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce and the City of Miami Beach will
travel to Fujisawa, Japan for the continued celebration of the 50th anniversary
of the Sister City Program. The Miami Beach delegates will be in Fujisawa
for five days and will visit government offices, shrines, attend ceremonies
and visit the capital Tokyo.
