The Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce Pillar Trustees Grant Overview
The Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce Pillar Trustees have created a formal process for the distribution of grants to non-profit organizations. The Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce will accept applications for grants from any group that supports one of more of the following categories: community service, education/scholarships, arts, elderly, homeless, or disabled. The organizations must be based in the city of Miami Beach or have an impact/benefit to the Miami Beach Community. The Pillar Trustees Grant was created to assist non-profits by providing grants devoted to stabilizing programs and projects. This grant is overseen by the Pillar Trustees Board of Directors appointed by the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce. A grant committee established by the Pillar Trustees Board of Directors reviews the applications and makes the final approval of the grants that will be distributed. Grants will be distributed twice a year on a term basis. The deadline is July 17th, 2008.
All eligible organizations that wish to apply to the Pillar Trustees Fund must submit a Grant Application. All applications will be reviewed by the Grant Committee of the Pillar Trustees Board of Directors. After receiving all applications, selected finalists will be invited to participate in a more intense level of evaluation by attending an interview. Those not selected will receive a letter notifying them of the committee’s decision. Grant recipients will not be eligible for another grant from the Pillar Trustees Fund for two years.
