Mount Sinai Medical Center Foundation is taking a bold new step to bring businesses into its philanthropic family. Through the Community Partnership Program, area business owners can embrace Mount Sinai's mission and help assure the health and well-being of their community, as well as their family and friends. Program participation requires each Partner to give their customers the opportunity to make a small donation to Mount Sinai and contribute the funds on an annual basis to the Foundation, specifying whether the gift is unrestricted or should support cancer, cardiac, Alzheimer's research and treatment, or indigent care services. By joining the Community Partnership Program, business owners can become part of the Founders of Mount Sinai, the hospital's most time-honored philanthropic group. Founders benefits include access to the 24-hour Founders Care Line, concierge services, and exclusive social and networking events throughout the year.
The Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce is encouraging area businesses to participate in the program. "We are proud to support Mount Sinai," said Sanford B. Horwitz, former chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and member of the Foundation's Board of Directors and the Founders Club. "It's the only hospital on Miami Beach, the largest employer on the beach and extremely important to our membership."
