The Florida Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan Program is currently available to small business owners located in all Florida counties statewide that experienced economic damage as a result of COVID-19.
This is a fantastic resource for bartenders and servers here in Miami Beach, and something employers should make them aware of to help them get through unpaid time off.
UPDATE: On March 18, U.S. SBA approved Florida’s requested declaration, now enabling Economic Injury Disaster Loans for Florida counties, and a few contiguous counties in Alabama and Georgia. please click HERE for SBA’s Small Business Guidance & Loan Resource. Big news from Facebook. The company has just announced that it’s creating a $100 million grant program for small businesses. According to Facebook
“Applications aren’t open yet, but the company says this will include both ad credits and cash grants that can be spent on operational costs like paying workers and paying rent. It will be available to up to 30,000 businesses in the 30-plus countries where Facebook operates.”

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has activated a Business Damage Assessment survey to understand the impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19) on local businesses and determine appropriate relief programs. Surveys submitted by small businesses can be used to access the Small Business Administration’s Economic Injury Disaster Loan made available for COVID-19 through the Coronavirus Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act. The Beach Channel will be offering free advertisement to any restaurants in the Miami-Dade, Broward, and Monroe county area that are offering delivery or take-out.
All restaurants in one of these three counties that offers delivery or pick-up are eligible. The advertisement will be run on the new Beach Channel app . It will also be featured on The Beach Channel livestream, which can be watched on the app or online at thebeachchannel.tv
All you have to do is send images, menus and information to either firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com and we will create an advertisement for you. Let your customers know you’re still open and keep them updated on any specials or deals you may be running.
