Green Award

This nominee should demonstrate that a residence, building or community was designed and built using strategies aimed at improving performance across all the metrics with respect to the latest “green” standards, i.e. energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality and stewardship of resources and sensitivity to their impacts. LEED certification (usable space vs. total space), the use of renewable materials, the use of location, new systems of efficiency and other information about the property to show why this is the most sustainable property are also strong consideration. The nominee can be the architect, owner, designer or other affiliate with the project.
